Baby blues: the most gorgeous way to style your baby boy

Baby blues: the most gorgeous way to style your baby boy

When I first found I was having a baby boy I was adamant I wouldn’t dress him in blue. To be honest, I was terrified that on finding out I was having a little boy,  friends and family would stick to an ocean colour palette scheme and Rupert would be forever encased in blue babygrows.

But then something funny happened. Despite his entire wardrobe mostly being filled with greys and whites, a little blue long sleeved vest made an appearance. And Rupert looked bloody gorgeous in it.

So I admit it - I now have a baby who is continuously dressed in blue. Which is why I am going to round up some of  the most gorgeous baby blue baby clothes to add to your little man's wardrobe.

 Boody baby wear

Australian brand Boody now has a permanent place on my favouritegs list. This gorgeous long sleeved t-shirt was THE item of clothing that prompted me to fall in love with baby blues. This luxury line of baby clothes (that won’t break the bank) is made from bamboo yarn and as a result is ridiculously soft and cooling on Rupert’s skin.

And the best bit? They do an incredible 'zip up' sleep suit which makes getting him dressed ridiculously easy. And, they do the most gorgeous socks in the world too. 10/10

Susie and Toto

With winter now certainly in our midst, these gorgeously snuggly wool leggings from Susie and Toto are exactly what Rupert needs to keep him cozy, The one thing about this brand that I must say puts it in my 'top favourites' list is the fact it is so 'wearable.' Rupert has worn these trousers so many times (and, as is the case with babies, has dribbled/spilt food down them so often I can't even count!) but despite the hundreds of times they have been through the wash, they always come out looking brand new. The material is also really soft and doesn't 'bobble' (like some other woollen clothes I have do!) so I thoroughly recommend them.

Little Maras Boutique

This traditional Spanish clothing brand tugged on my heart strings when I saw their instagram account and I instantly KNEW I had to get this woollen cardigan for Rupert. Not only is it going to be perfect for our skiing trip in a few weeks time (what could be more cozy than a fur lined hood!) but I also love the button details (which, despite many attempt to pull them off - by Rupert - they still remain in tact!) The best bit about this brand is that, up until the 20th December they have a pop up shop in St Johns Wood so you can head along and pick some gorgeous pieces yourself. The address is  78 Allison Road NW8 7BG and it's open until he 20th December

Toffee Moon

If I could dress Rupert in this brand every day I would. Why? Because who else doesn't LOVE their baby in a gorgeous knitted cardigan with his INITIALS on it? Rupert was sent this cardigan by Toffee Moon when he was a tiny baby and I have  been dressing him in it practically every week since! The quality of Toffee Moon's clothes are out of this world and they have some fabulous ideas for new babies (including a gorgeous personalised blanket!) It is a timeless baby collection that oozes luxury and is precious, practical, soft and comfortable. And did I mention GORGEOUS?

Noppies

This was another brand I stumbled across on social media (All  hail Instagram!) and I was completely smitten with practically everything on their site. Their ethos is 'trendy, comfortable and  functional' and this gorgeous sleep suit ticks all of those boxes! Ok, so not strictly baby blue (it's actually a stylish 'mint') but I honestly think I may have saved the best for last with this brand. The sleep suit is not only a 'zip up' (Omg, if you have never used one of these then buy one immediately - it is a LIFESAVER) but it also has a gorgeous silver star pattern across it which melts my heart every time I look at it. The other great thing about Noppies is that a lot of their clothes are unisex so you don't have to worry about shopping for a specific sex only! I strongly suggest you get onto their website IMMEDIATELY (and have that credit card handy!)
